In a little over three months I leave for journeys abroad; a trip around the world. As I connect the dots of my personal adventure map, I plan on maintaining some sort of public documentation. Hence, my first blog is born. I hope that this blog prevails as more than merely self proclaimed justifications for an individual's importance (that would be mine) in the world. May my writing provoke reactions, whether it be a cynical smile, a puzzled questioning, or all out rebellion. May my friends and family share, if they are so inclined, in my experiences and thoughts.
And with that, I am temporarily leaving the world of Portland and all her glories in this cold spring for an auspicious eleven days. Through hours and hours of silent meditation fears will be faced and overcome, thoughts will float calmly away, and I will return as a more refined and gentle person...
